Laughter Always Helps

It's a dark, gloomy, rainy, cold day where I am. And I'm feeling a bit down. When this happens, I often reach for things to make me laugh. Laughter is really good medicine.

Enjoy.

It's gloomy here too. I have a cat so it was accurate and very hilarious to me! I'll forward the link to some friends.

I agree that laughter is good medicine. Just think about everything that is stimulated when you laugh.

You know whenever I think about laughter and medicine, I think of Patch Adams.

One thing that makes me laugh and smile a lot is watching my pets. They just do really silly things.

LOL! One of my other blogger friends posted this, and I love it.

And, it's a gray day in Boston, too.

Cats totally do that (except for the bat)! LOL!

There is a hiddend camera in my house! I swear that IS my cat!!! Between that, and the ZITS cartoon ... my son and my cat are now famous!!!

My cat does the same thing..kneed and smacks our face. Literally!

Yes, laughter truly is the best medicine that is why sometimes I will go to the movies and watch a good comedy :)

Can I please have Clio the cat back now please? This is her early morning ritual...we've hidden the baseball bat though.

Laughter? Absolutely. Cheers, Deb.

We used to have a very dear cat. Jim even has this vid on his website, which explains where I saw it before.. that video would perk up most any dreary day! Thanks for posting it, and I hope sunshine is on its way to you and yours!!

I agree with dreaming again...sometimes the paranoid person that is hiding in me somewhere, swears that somebody is secretly taping my family and animals! Thank goodness we don't have a bat lying around and my cat doesn't watch youtube--lol.

thanks, I needed that! I so relate!

I love it! Wuill have to show our son because he sleeps with the door open. Now i understand why he wakes up with a black eye! ;)

Dr Deb...I have a question for you that I am wondering if there is any truth to.

Years ago...I read that if a person likes cloudy days then they are depressed.

I love, stormy or even just cloudy days because something feels exciting about it and I love making things cozy inside. Even at work i like that cozy feeling. i actually feel a little sad (momentarily) when the sun comes back out. now I love sunny days too but there is something about losing the cozy factor.

Also...I had some sad and troubling things happen to me on cloudy days...yet I like them.

Sorry so long...but have been perplexed about that ever since I read it.

I LOVE that video!!! One of my cats does exactly that to me every morning, minus the ear pull and baseball bat. She taps me on my face and meows and purrs and is so cute!! Love it!

Dear Danny,
Anything healthy that can help pull us out of darkness is a good thing.

Dear Princess,
This video mimics virtually everything my own cats do!

Dear Tiptoe,
Pets are so healing. My life would be so empty without them! Sounds like it would be the same for you.

Dear Lone,
I usually don't mind a gray day or a rainy one.

Dear Scott,
My cats do the same thing, of course minus the bat.

Dear Dreaming,
It is so cat like for them to behave like that. I've had many cats, at different times in my life, an all did this. I guess that's why the video is such a hit.

Dear Beach,
My cat pats her paws right on my face as well. Such a weird feeling when you are half awake.

Dear HP,
How funny!!!!!!!!

Dear Casdok,
I can always move a mood to a better place when I find something to tickle the old funny bone.

Dear Mysti,
Pets are so smart and clever. Right?!

Dear Angel,
This video cracked me up the first time I saw it. And still does. No matter how many times I view it, I LOL!

Dear OHN,
So funny. Cats all seem to do this!!!

Dear Barb,
So glad you enjoyed.

Dear Sea,
Most people are touched by the their weather environment, so I don't think that if you like a gloomy day it means you are depressed. I enjoy being cozy on a cold rainy or gloomy day as well. But for some reason, I was really feeling the cold in my bones. Maybe arthritis is taking up residence within me!

Dear Palmtree,
So cute how we all appreciate the cat humor!

Dear BB,
A friend of mine once said that "Dogs have owners and cats have staff."

Dear Mel,
LOL! And Blessings to you and your family.

Dear Alison,
My cat does this virtually every day. Minus the bat and ear pull!
PS: Still can't link you yet. I sent an email to blogger!

Dear Donna,
Blogpal Kath had it featured months ago too.

Dear Bossmack,
Amazing what we rely on to make it through things, right?

Dear Ian,
Already a nicer day weather wise here. Hope by you too.

Dear Merelyme,
So glad you visited too. I have been wanting to add new links to blogfriends but have been unable. Blogger is kaflewy - only shows me half of my template. When it's fixed I'll add you to my blogroll.

Hi Deb,

That was cute, and the reason why I like dogs. ;o)

If you get a chance I would appreciate it if you read my post, "Therapy and Me". It is on my "Top Posts list". If you read it, I hope that you will not take offense. I express some very honest views. I am still not in therapy because of those views, even though I need something. I would value your opinion, and wonder if any studies have been done as to the effectiveness of therapy. At any rate, I am discouraged due to circumstances mentioned in the post. Feel free to comment and/or, e-mail me. My e-mail is in my profile if you care to write. Again no offense is intended, and hope not taken.
