Lots of awareness days in December.
December 1st is World AIDS Day
This global awareness day was established by the World Health Organization in 1988 to focus attention on the HIV andAIDS. Leadership" is the theme for 2007 - with the slogan "Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise."
December 3rd is International Day of Disabled Persons
The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
December 5th is International Volunteers Day
This is a time when we stop to thank those who volunteer their time and effort, in both big and small ways, that helps to make our world a better place.

Having been a volunteer at many levels (uncomplainingly because I believe it is what citizens should do), I think it is well that we take a day out to commemorate those who keep our societies moving. Without volunteers, much would collapse.
And, the worth of World AIDS Day goes without saying.

hmm I was only aware f the first one. We used to do all sorts of awareness things in the area when we still had the AIDS Service Org here.... where I so loved volunteering...

Thank you Deb.. we should celebrate people who serve humanitarian causes everyday and similarly fight evils like disease and ignorance every single day instead of one day (easier said than done)...but atleast by devoting a day we can reinforce some positive virtues for ourselves and the society at large.ps: been a while since i blogged or visited...but you have continued to post great thgs asusual...i learnt somethg hideous friday nite which left me speechless and compelled me to blog abt it..i wud love a psychologist opinion on that scenario..chekit out if u get a chance..cheers..S

I think any online tests should be considered "fluff stuff". Real testing requires a secured testing environemnt, standardized test structres and a whole bunch of other statistical requirements. Keeping that in mind, such tests can be see as fun or simple screenings.
